- Verification and backup commands before upgrade:

- First start ROMMON upgrade with standby supervisor:
Note: standby supervisor is in module 6:
Please note first upgrade the SP image on standby supervisor and verify after that you can upgrade RP image on standby supervisor.

- Start upgrading module 5 (active sup) ROMMON:

- Upgrade of active supervisor which is in module 5:
Note: first we need to switchover active sup which is in slot 5, after becoming active sup as standby then we will start upgrading.

- Once module 5 come up we will verify that ROMMON upgrade is done successfully?

Note: Once standby supervisor come up we will switchover module 6 active to standby in order to keep active module 5 and standby module 6 but this is not necessary just for consistency.
- Roll back setups
a) Connect to the supervisor using console connection.
b) Check if we have some response from console.
c) If yes most likely supervisor is in ROMMON mode .
d) We should try to boot IOS from ROMMON (using “boot [path to IOS]” command).
e) If there will be no response from console try to reboot it one more time by powering it off and on.
f) If after power cycle there will be no response from console it would mean that supervisor has failed and has to be replaced.
